Bodyfit Eaglesfield Paddle 5k

My first 5k road race since the Eighties Managed to get round in 21:00 so well pleased. Now mind is on Skiddaw tomorrow, hope the old legs don't let me down.

Langstrath Fell Race

Last night I had a go at Langstrath fell race. lots of top runners had the same idea. but i was no1. Only because i arrived early, it ends there. Below is a photo of Race Winner Ricky Lightfoot in a time of  00:37:13

I had a really good run in with Phillipa for about the last mile and a half, after she destroyed me on the last climb. Both crossed the line in 00:56:38 so i was well pleased.

Kielder Marathon

Today i decided to enter the Kielder Marathon, should be good as most of the running is on Trai.

Blencathra Fell Race

I have ran this race twice and taken photos once. 2009 my best time of 01:28:03. 2010 injured, recovering after Bunion operation on my right foot.  so just tacking photos. 2011 injured again with bad Ankle but decided to run. Bad move,the first fell race i never enjoyed. time 01:32:50. 2012 Running tonight, feeling good lets see what happens.
My god that was tough the photo's that Steve Graham took say it all. Time 01:31: 17 legs were gone on the first climb,told myself  last year don't go straight up go round. Should have listened to myself.

Top three photos by Stu Stod. Jon from Eden runners and me on one of the last climbs, he absolutely destroyed me coming down, finishing in a time of  1:30:23 in 58th pos, I was 1:31:17 in 61st pos out of 92.

Busy Weekend, Ennerdale Horseshoe / Helvellyn and the Dodds.

A weekend of night shifts. A weekend of Fell racing. A weekend with not a lot of sleep, worth every minuite. Saturday saw me heading off to the finish of  Ennerdale Horseshoe to take photos of the runners coming in.

Then on Sunday more of the same Helvellyn and the Dodds, to catch the runners coming in.
